They should probably just reboot this series as an endless runner mobile game series. Makes the most sense game wise and financially for Sega I think.

The Sonic Boom and other games for Wii U seem to be just quick money grabs done for cheap to churn out. I'm guessing they have Sonic team working on another game(I don't see them doing anything else at this point), and the game will have amazing graphics, basically be an on rails experience and people will get suckered into the Sonic cycle once again.

Sonic Boom being successful mostly depends on the cartoon and toys really. It's already being hated on by most of the Sonic fans, so even if the gameplay is good, it wont be accepted by them because it strays too far from the Sonic formula.

If Sega were smart, or if this wasn't a cheap cash-in, they would have delayed it for a bit to make some Amiibo tie-ins. But hey, it's not like Amiibos are a guaranteed success either.

I'm holding out for reviews, general reception and a demo before I commit to showing any interested for Sonic Boom. Lost World was abysmal, just a poorly made game.

They lowered sales expectation for the Wii u version to 300k from 600k and 3DS version was nearly cut in half to under 1.5mill from over 2 mill.

The TV show most likely not take off as they got a time slot of 6:00AM in the morning on Sat and Suns. What kid will be up at that time?

Let me elaborate ive played the game. Its not good. Its decent at best. ITs a terrible Sonic game and a mediocore platformer. If you want to play what is essentially a poor man's Jax and Daxter have at it. This will bomb like Lost World hell its going against Smash it might be worse
