Excellent, Nintendo is going to put my prediction to the test.
For the record, it comes in two parts:
1) Majora's Mask 3D will be one of the critically worst-received games in the series (86 or lower Metascore is all it takes to accomplish that), and
2) Majora's Mask 3D will be one of the worst-selling games in the series (under 1.5 million sales ought to do the trick).

Codename S.T.E.A.M, Xenoblade X and Splatoon were shownin htis direct, and while I dd see some excitement for these games the majority of people are going crazy over MM3D. I know that MM is beloved game, but I do believe that Nintnedos new IPs should get similar attention. Maybe the lack of excitement is because S.T.E.A.M, X and Splatoon are not exciting in their current form or maybe it's because a majority of Nintendo fans don't really care about new Ip's. I don't know, but I do wish these games would get more attention. |
Xenoblade X & Splatoon have been getting a lot of love ever since they were revealed but the major reason everybody is going nuts over MM3D is because it was just announced today, the other games u listed have been known about for months (nearly 2 years in Xenoblades case).

Yay! I hope they don't make Ben Drowned part 2....

This. I'd noticed and believed in this pattern as well. Glad to see it continue. :D |
2017: Twilight Princess HD confirmed
| RolStoppable said: What reason was there for these predictions to materialize in the first place? A combination of annoying Nintendrones and your hatred for MM? |
Moreso the former than the latter. I don't hate MM, but boy is the more vocal part of its fanbase obnoxious.

Was not expecting the announcement until next year around E3. Incredible how they delivered the news, too. Starting out a ND with it without any warning. I was absolutely blown away.
I think it's great that they're remaking the game. It was one of my favorite N64 titles, right up there with OoT and Mario 64. I think that the selling potential of this game is greater on 3DS, due to the game becoming something of a cult phenomenon since 2000, and due to the 3DS install base being much larger and more active than the N64 was in 2000 right when PS2 was launching.
I have a few friends that will be even more blown away by the announcement than I was. This is why I love you, Nintendo.

I own it too. In fact, I still have the pretty game box sitting on my shelf. But I don't want to hook up my N64 to play it again. The N64 adds this weird blurr to every game, and if the controller gets worn out, as they tend to do, I doubt I'd find a new replacement for it.

It's not fair to compare a remake to a new game. Plus Wind Waker HD was bundled (digital), that's how I got my copy. I don't think those "sales" are counted in. Regardless, Wind Waker HD sold great for a game that only took 6 months to make.
But yes, 3ds version makes more sense since it will sell more and it's a lot cheaper to develop. Would be nice if we got another HD remake though, doesn't even have to be a Zelda game!
OMG!!!!
The moon is even scarier!!!
Man, i have to fix my 3DS now!
