Are people really surprised its on 3DS? I figured it would be a given considering Ocarina of Time 3D

WiiU wasn't out when Ocarina 3D was released...

I dont kno why people expected it to be on wiiu and not on 3ds aside from wanting it on there. Same engine/etc, only thing im surprised is they didn't bring it out sooner, especially with all the teasers.

I'm flipping out right now!

I need this:

The box-art is something to get used to though, especially when our green European box-art is so stylish (and one of the prettiest box-arts ever imo). For now I'll prefer OoT3D's box-art. Interested to know if the US gets another, like with OoT.

I TOLD YOU ALL.
I SAID IT OVER AND OVER AND OVER.

2011 - New Zelda remake and new game.
2013 - New Zelda remake and new game.
2015 - New Zelda remake and new game.

GOD I'M FUCKING HYPED RIGHT NOW

This. I'd noticed and believed in this pattern as well. Glad to see it continue. :D

Upcoming Games To Get

Definite: Kirby Star Allies (Switch), Mario Tennis Aces (Switch), Fire Emblem (Switch), Yoshi (Switch), Pokemon (Switch), Kingdom Hearts 3 (PS4), Monster Hunter World (PS4)

Considering: Fe (Switch), Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze (Switch), The World Ends With You (Switch), Ys VIII (Switch), Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition (PS4), Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Remix (PS4), The Last Guardian (PS4), Shadow of the Colossus HD (PS4), Anthem (PS4), Shenmue 3 (PS4), WiLD (PS4)

But the point is they can basically just re-use the same engine for cheaper development costs.

So you're saying Nintendo is lazy? Why wouldn't they want to make it for WiiU instead.

No, I'm saying they're a business whose primary concern is to make money. Majora's Mask 3D is a game that they can make quick, cheap, and will sell more copies. There are other reasons to choose 3DS as well, such as while the Wii U already had a Zelda coming. 3DS didn't. Also 2015 was looking a little empty for 3DS compared to the Wii U which has a decent number of games lined up for 2015. Basically there are an awful lot of reasons to choose 3DS over Wii U and it is of absolutely no surprise to me that they did.

The messiah!

Two is a coincidence, three makes a pattern .

I don't know why everyone jizzes over this stuff (remakes in general). I own MM and can play it right now, this instant lol.

It's sad more people are more excited for a 15 year old game than new IPs.

Because they don't make games like sports games that become completely irrelavent after the first year. There's a story to be told and stories, no matter how old, are stories that can be remembered and impactful. Now, I do agree that a new IP would be great but Nintendo has plenty on their hands right now. People act like AAA companies are supposed to be inhuman and produce new games every day. Give the teams some time. They have lives too.

You missed the point. MM is available RIGHT NOW on the Wii VC. This means, everyone with a Wii-U, reguardless of age, can play this masterpiece right now.

So why so much jizz? Is the story different? Is it going to be a completely different game? No? That's the point and one that holds true for any remake on any console where the original is for sale digitally. It just makes no sense imo.

No, I think you all as a whole, not u specifically, are just blinded by your own ignorance. That's not the point being made. It's not the same game. There is likely to be graphical improvements and bonus content that you can't find on the original game. Remakes allow you to enjoy a story with its available updates and that's the selling point. "What if this game looked like today" and "What if this game had better controls than it did on x console", that's what remakes are about. If they aren't your thing, don't buy them. Nothing completely makes sense to any one person, if you don't like it, don't buy it. If you don't like reading about them, don't read about them. Problemo fixed.

-_-

Too many games. Too little time.

Just as expected, but that boxart though !! It's amaaazing, I need it !

well captain obvious could have told you Nintendo would do the stupid thing with this game.

The fans wanted Wii U version. Hell they made a trailer for it that kicks ass.

Two of the most HD capable games.... OoT and MM... go on 3DS... Don't get me wrong, I'm glad there's a remake coming but an HD version would be so great. Oh well, people are still gonna buy the heck out of it and wait for Zelda U. It's like Nintendo knows we need Zelda in some form or another to wade us out until Zelda U. When E3 comes... I'll be so damn glad.

E3 '15 will be fackin' awesome. I'm expecting 2015 to be the year of the games compared to 2014; a year of remakes and sh*t ports.

But when they show that Zelda U gameplay... O_O It could change the industry.

That's what I believe the new Zelda is capable of doing. I think it'll change the industry in the same way that OoT did only at a Waaaaaay lesser degree and that's still promising. I hate liner Zelda games now, especially after TP, and this game makes me so happy inside.
