So XB1 is about to overtake WiiU WW, and never look back. This pretty much cements 1st, 2nd and 3rd place this gen. Unlike last gen we won't have 2nd and 3rd battling it out for 7+ years, we won't have the third party twins going at it vs Wii for 50% marketshare ect.

What we have left.

PS4 50%. This will also happen very soon.
PS4 > WiiU Japan? This looks like it'll take some time. If PS4 picks up steam I see this battle becoming quite prominent.
WiiU Vs. Gamecube. Should become fairly obvious as we get into 2016.
PS4 Vs XB1 in the US. Probably the most interesting one left.

I'm not sure 1st place is cemented yet at all, a price cut from MS in Europe could change the outlook with a very strong exclusive line up to back it up. But Wii U is certainly third. I also don't see PS4 with 50% market share.

The US will belong to X1 soon. I have said all year X1 will win November and December and I suspect Sony will find it very difficult to regain many months afterwards.

PS4 will be above Wii U in Japan comfortably when all is said and done. Persona 5, DQ Heroes, MGSV, Final Fantasy and many more all essentially exclusive.

China will probably be too difficult to get any consistent info from to be interesting

8th gen totals vs 7th gen totals for a tally of how much the industry has been segmented and splintered. That's actually the one that is the most important to me when all is said and done.

Oooh, can't believe I forgot that.

I don't expect it to go in gen 8th's favour tho ...

Think last gen vs new gen is gonna be the most interesting..
Are we frontloaded cause last gen lasted that long? What happend to the casual users? Are casual users scared off because of paid online services? Etc
