Once this goes on to sell like dogshit on a stick will they finally have an excuse to give up on Wii U ports?

They don't need an excuse. Its their game, and its up to them to put their game on the platforms they want to.

Besides, we know how "well" their previous games sold on Wii U even though they launched alonside other versions.

Some technicals problems shouldn't stop you from playing a game.

If the framerate spends much of its time in the low 20s and even high teens, that impacts gameplay in a pretty serious way.

Oh, didn't know it was that bad. Atleast I can fully enjoy it at 60fps on PS4

The PS4 version doesn't run at 60fps, it runs at 30fps at 900p with some occasional dips and screen tearing.

Of all the games that have ever been sent out to die, this one is being sent out to be brutally slaughtered. Jesus, this is going to be so horrendously mauled by Smash and nobody fucking caring (and dat price point, seriously LOL) that it'll be wiped from history like the Grand Library in the Mongol sacking of Baghdad.

In all seriousness, I expect less than 20k lifetime sales. The last we'll ever hear of this game is a few days later when Ubi makes some statement blaming Nintendo fans for not liking mature games. It'll be $40 on eShop by February, $30 by May.

It runs at 1080p30fps, my bad. Still, it runs at a locked 30fps so it feels smooth, and looks very clear at 1080p with all the additional detail and techniques compared to last-gen and Wii U versions.

PS4 version runs at 900p, not 1080p.

We were talking about AC IV, remember?

To be fair here; all of Ubi's games are poorly optimized on most platforms... The AC games are terrible in this regard, same goes for Far Cry. And look at the ridiculous PC specs for AC: Unity (more or less recommending AMD's top GPU for decent performance).

True. But their last two Wii U ports, AC4 and Blacklist, were especially bad, falling short of even their Wii U launch title AC3 in performance.

I haven't tried AC4 on Wii U, but AC3 on PS3 was a choppy mess at times.

Both AC3 and 4 have performance issues on PS3, 360, and Wii U, AC4 Wii U is simply the worst of the lot.

As for Watch Dogs, yeah I already know it runs at 900p30fps on PS4, but it also is a lot more detailed on PS4 than on last-gen and Wii U.

Ah, I thought you had returned to the original topic and were discussing Watch Dogs.

Looks to be sub-HD. All screens are 1024 x 750(and something). Makes sense since X1 version was 720p.

No, the X1 version is 792p.

Oh, you're correct, my bad. Now I remember the resolution. Either way, I don't think Wii U could push 720p if X1 was at 792p. Of course, because WD is a massively unoptimized game that was demanding on PC and runned on low res on PS4 and X1 even if it looked worse than GTA V. With that visuals, it should have been 1080p on PS4 and X1 easily. GTA V on new gen will beat it hands down even if it is a last gen port.

Ubisoft was freaking geniuses for releasing the game when they did. People swallowed hype and bought the game en masse. This is just a bone they are tossing Wii U. I'll buy it after I get other games, but I won't be paying full price for this. I would have bought it day 1 if it was for $40. Otherwise its a waste.

This will not even chart.
