Forums - Nintendo - New Nintendo Direct November 5

Bear in mind that at the investors meeting Mario Maker, Yoshi etc. were all still down as first half 2015.

They won't have been delayed in the last week or so will they? Pretty certain deliberately lying to investors is frowned upon...

Although Kirby and Smash have both been brought forward.

Mario Kart 8 DLC looking legit.

Only disappointment is the SNES Rainbow Road. Terrible course

Just cause you die on it all day don't make it a terrible course!

Haha yeah, SNES RR is the best RR ever made... well remade, the SNES game is rather garbage.

Such a great technical course. No need for fancy graphics and gimmicks, just tight corners and no walls. The drivers shall do the rest and RR will forever live on off of their tears =P

There are also the Star Thwomps who now make the track wave upon impact which produced many deaths in MK7, but they probably made that easier to deal with in MK8's version and I imagine the track is also a bit wider now, but hopefully it'll still be uber difficult!

My poor wallet.

About Wii U:

Yay! Splatoon single player looked really good.
Where's the rest of the line-up of the first half? Don't tell me we are only getting Captain Toad (only in Europe) and Splatoon?

Coincidence or not, Splatoon was the first title in the 2015 calendar Nintendo put out some months ago. Could Splatoon really be the first of the 2015 wave?
Don't want to be pessimistic, but Nintendo expected Wii Fit U to be ready in early 2013 and released it October 2013 in Japan. A game that doesn't seem to eat a lot of resources... a game like Mario Maker or Project Giant Robot.

I gotta ask: why show Kirby, which is only coming out in the second half of 2015 (as originally predicted) and why not show Mario Maker, Yoshi and Project Giant Robot?
Wasn't this supposed to be the games coming out up to Spring? Where are they?

I really hope that Splatoon at least comes out in March. With 9 games announced for 2015, at least, with one per month, there really wouldn't be droughts after the first quarter drought - which would still be very bad.

Because Kirby is being released in February everywhere except Europe.

2015 was supposed to be full of games... haha.

It wasn't indeed an awesome Direct.. Xenoblade Chronicles X and Splatoon just became Day 1 purchases, that MK8 DLC is simply amazing and it looks like the Duck Hunt Dog is going to be one hell of an interesting character!

What?

At first i wasn't sure if you were serious or not, 'cause i didn't read anything until i saw the ND. Now i know you are serious and i can't wrap my head around it.
So everyone is getting Kirby in February and Europe is getting it only in the second-half?

Again:  0_0?!?

So, Europe gets Captain Toad in January and the rest of the world gets Kirby in February. That means 1 game out in the 1Q and in the second we all get Splatoon. Which could meananything from March until May.

If that's Nintendo's strategy for the first half, good luck lifting Wii U's sales next year!   :(

Wasn't sure about Japan, but they get it on January 22nd, hahaha, nearly when we get Captain Toad (which if you noticed they moved the launch with the portuguese and spanish rls date). Its apparently a budget price, similar to Captain Toad, but over here in Europe I see Captain Toad priced normally.
