Forums - Gaming - Most OPed/Broken character(s) in VG history?

Every single character from FFVIII can break the game with little to no effort. You can easily get 100 items that make you invincible, it's relatively easy to stock on Ultimas... It's the only FF where I've beaten the superbosses (Ultima and Omega Weapon), because they really aren't that hard.

Also, Alucard equipped with the Crissaegrim in Symphony of the Night. That's game-breaking at its finest. The Falcon Armor in X5 (sort of), the cape feather in Super Mario World...

There is only one answer: Noob Saibot on MK Trilogy. With him, you could beat Shao Kahn via flawless victory without breaking a sweat. And it was forbidden to use it against a friend or friendship was over.

Shaman and Paladins when only one side could use them, neither when both sides could

The best way to find out if you can trust somebody is to trust them.

A fully armed Ratchet from R&C would be a worthy contender for that title :p The RYNO V + Groovitron always makes for an entertaining few minutes.

I always get a chuckle from reading this:

"Ryno V - Some have written songs about it. Others have written poetry. Some claim they have a friend whose second cousin Chantelle dated a fat guy named Lester who saw one once at a party back in college. Truth is, this weapon was unanimously voted "Most Likely to End Life as We Know It" and blacklisted eons ago."

Every R&C game I played gets to that point where it's no longer any challenge whatsoever. Not to mention there are some cheap tactics that make the games a breeze. That damn Infernox armor in UYA, couldn't even see Ratchets funny face in cutscenes.

Still, you can always mix up some trickier weapons, and it plays with such fluidity and responsiveness that every movement of the thumbstick or press of a button is a joy.

Fierce Diety Link from Majora's Mask: Even if it did take a lot of work to get, it turned a crazy, intense, fun boss battle to a joke. :(

Mewtwo in Pokemon RBY

Orlandu in FFT is ridiculously broken. Personally, I usually delete him, as he makes the game trivial. Right from the start, he's your most powerful character--if you train him up, he becomes a monster that can beat the game by himself.

Akuma (SSFII Turbo) and Hilde (Soul Calibur IV) are banned in tournaments.

Omega Rugal, he is playable in King of Fighters 2002 (at least in the Dreamcast version).

The entire cast of the PS2 Hokuto no Ken 2D fighting game. The game is still balanced because everybody has full life bar combos.

Zerase, Miakis and Nelis in Suikoden V. Specially Nelis. There's something fundamentally wrong in a fully customizable, fast character with strong magic that can wear chainmail and has above average health.

Not a character, but the Suzuki Escudo in Gran Turismo 2 deserves a mention.
