Teeqoz you said it would hit 10m easily. Small44, you implicitly agreed with him by countering me on his post.
Yet both of you only think it will do 5m by jan 1 2016?

Ok, how about this.
1.7m first month
Jan 1 2016 3.2m
2m more sold in 2016 for a total of 5.2m

Would you take that bet? Both of you said way higher than 5m, but you're holding me to 5m? That's really cowardly to not defend your analysis like that.

You're now just saying things that are straight up wrong. i said it would easily PASS 5 million, and that it'll PROBABLY ve CLOSER to 10 million, maybe more.

I NEVER said it would EASILY PASS 10 million.

I guess the Ps vita affected sony a lot
Same as the wii u for nintendo?

Pocky Lover Boy!

amiibo will generate them $$$$$ this holidays. probably a 1000% profit on each one cost t manufacture lol

This is due to the 3DS already having a huge install base, as that install base actively buys games. Even though 3DS didn't sell many units this year it has still sold the most software.

Also Sony hasn't published many new games on PS4 and PS Vita, while Nintendo have done so for Wii U and 3DS. PS4 and PS Vita games also cost more to develop than Wii U and 3DS games, so what really is a surprise is that the difference in profits is so small despite all these reasons.

The PS4 install base is growing far more rapidly than the Wii U's/3DS combo, meaning Sony's ability to generate profit off that growing install base is more than Nintendo's ability to do so.

only risk being that the price cut on the XB1 and heavy bundling cuts heavily into profits.

Sony will sell more hardware,  but Nintendo will earn much more money with first party games.

Sony would earn a lot more money than Nintendo next year with first-party games + third-party games + increased profit on hardware + increased hardware sales + high digital sales + PS Plus subscriptions.

rter sales (3-month time frame) not ltd sales. Actually, generally being younger is even better cuz it's fresh, the new thing, and it gets people attention.

Now you are just reaching, console salways sale more second and third year.  But given wiiu sales are so week it only took some months for PS4 to crush them.

So realistically its better to have your 2nd or 3rd year numbers for comparison as they are always higher then the first years.

oh lordy

3DS has sold the most software this year?

I mean the top-selling software, of which 3DS has a lot more this year. Also they are mostly first-party games, which make a lot more revenue, and they are mostly sold at full price. The same isn't true for many PS4 games.

The amiibos for Nintendo this holiday will be extremely profitable.
