They definitely should. The Xbox One is much more powerful and has games that the mainstream gamers buy consoles for(Destiny, Call of Duty, Forza, Battlefield, Assassin's Creed, Watch Dogs etc). Given there will only be a $50US difference between the Wii U and the Xbox One, I can see the vast majority of casual gamers choosing the X1 simply because of the more mature and appealing game line up. If someone is deciding between a Wii U and an X1 but is on the fence about it currently, that $50US price drop for the X1 would probably lead to them choosing the X1. Given that the X1 has been outselling the Wii U by a considerable margin in the past few weeks(without a price drop), if Nintendo don't follow suite, I see more of there potential market share diminishing. I don't even include the PS4 in this discussion because it has been outselling the Wii U close to 6:1...

the xbone isnt so much stronger... its right in the middle betwen wiiu and ps4.

and nintendo is way more competent in making games than m$ firstparty.

the only difference is that the xbone has good 3r party support.

How much is the Mario Kart bundle?

I totally agree. All of Microsoft's flagship in house games(Halo, Gears of War) were basically developed under an exclusive agreement. They were never developed in house by Microsoft. Halo was first announced for PC/Mac by Bungie(I think Apple were funding it at the time?) until microsoft acquired Bungie. Gears of War was developed by Epic until the IP was purchased off them by Microsoft. So that really only leaves Forza as the flagship Microsoft-developed title.

I'm not sure if a price cut will really help the Wii U. Nintendo is making a profit for each Wii U sold so I don't see the point.

This notion has actually been brought into question.

No it won't change anything because Wii u problem is lack of 3rd party support,so better focus on profitability

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

That wouldn't make much sense, first off they need to at least be profitable so it's better to sell a given amount either flat or at a small loss or small gain than it is selling 10-15% more at a big loss per unit.
Secondly; a price cut of that size wouldn't have much effect at any rate.
I see no point in it, to be honest, I think Nintendo will (correctly) focus on profits for the remainder of the 8th gen.
