if you want 60fps you shouldn't be buying consoles.

1080p shouldn't be a target resolution either, it should be the freaking standard, we were promised it since 2004 after all, kinda sad that it's still both an issue and a goal talking point a fucking decade later.

Going back to my PC where you pick the framerate yourself by adjusting how far in to your wallet you put your hand.

Anyone who has played Dark Souls knows that this game running at a locked 30 FPS framerate would be a miracle.

In some ways he's kinda right. Action games require detailed player character modelling and movements which is entirely absent from fps, so it's easier to hit graphics targets and achieve 60fps. With action games the graphics demands are greater so for similar looking graphics to fps the demand is greater and hence the need to compromise on frame rate is more likely.

Ubi are just dicks for saying that 30fps is better because of cinematic feel. They don't know how to justify compromise for an overall best experience.

60fps>30fps any day, if that means the graphics will take a hit so be it

the reason why developers are now saying this because it saves them from looking bad that they cant hit 60fps efficiently as they original thought when XB1/PS4 released

thats bullshit too.  144hz is better than 4k...  but its from afterall, they wouldnt hit 60 fps with 720p...

but making good running software is hard work...
