Forums - Sales - WiiU Vs. XB1: Do you still think WiiU will win, if so why?

WiiU V.s XB1

WiiU will win 421 49.36%

XB1 will win 432 50.64%

Total:853

Ehh at this point the X1 is pretty much guaranteed to be #2. Pretty soon the Wii U will need to be $150 to be priced accordingly.

I don't miss these pointless off topic debates over nothing. Hope life is treating you well CGI? Don't let the forums get to you.

Life's well, my friend! Thanks for reaching out! :)

Sorry for the off-topic.

No need to apologize, I'm just reminiscing the old days.

Like several people have said, I knew Wii U never had a chance. If anything I think Xbox has a solid chance at passing the Wii U by the end of this year now.

Cemented by today's numbers it seems!

Is it really a matter of winning or losing something?

At this point, both Microsoft and Nintendo will be just happy if they can make profits of their products and keep them alive on the market.

I never expected the Wii U to end up anywhere else but third place. The XBO will probably pass it before the end of next year. This is primarily due to the XBO's performance in the U.S. and, to a lesser extent, the UK. In fact, I think there's a good chance that the XBO's end-life U.S. sales alone edge out the Wii U's end-life global sales. In Europe, the XBO will likely win by a comfortable margin thanks to the UK, but on the continent I think the XBO may struggle to pull ahead. In Japan the Wii U will destroy the XBO, though that is to be expected. I think this is a plausible end-generation scenario:

No way does PS4 get that lead in Americas, it's only 1.5m max ahead after 1 year (and launch). XB360 only managed a 16m lead over PS3.

I want the WiiU as 2nd, but i doubt she can make it.

This console need a boost like the one for the old 3ds, maybe with a combo : pricedrop + 2 big games.

Aren't you forgetting about the rest of the world?

Prediction made in 14/01/2014 for 31/12/2020:      PS4: 100M      XOne: 70M      WiiU: 25M

Prediction made in 01/04/2016 for 31/12/2020:      PS4: 100M      XOne: 50M      WiiU: 18M

Prediction made in 15/04/2017 for 31/12/2020:      PS4: 90M      XOne: 40M      WiiU: 15M      Switch: 20M

Prediction made in 24/03/2018 for 31/12/2020:      PS4: 110M      XOne: 50M      WiiU: 14M      Switch: 65M

Is the poll glitched? Has to be.

Won bet with t3mporary_126 - I correctly predicted that the Wii U's LTD at the end of 2014 would be closer to 9 million than 10 million. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6673287

Most definitely, the Wii U won't win nor get the second place. It would've gotten a better chance if it had better sales after release. But after nearly 2 years and nearly 7.5 million units sold, I'll say that it's too late with the Xbox One picking up sales way faster. When will Xbox One claim second place? Maybe by Q1 2015.
