I'm glad XBox users are recently discovering this wonderful feature, seeing how until recently they were being restricted to using region-locked discs.

Aren't you glad that rational consumers raised hell at Microsoft's region-locked always online 24-hour parole officer check-ins, so that in their ceiling fan cycle of neverending 180 U-turns decided to alliw region free games, and to drop IP region locking, by allowing users outside of officially designated countries to have the ability to access the store...

But that's OK, I know you're slowly realizing that you chose a worse option, and eventually your reason will win over your pride, and you will realize that instead of buying batteries, and a proprietary $25 play and charge kit, you could have had a better controller with no additional costs, and use a regular USB cable received with your controller or your phone for free to charge the controller...

Or that the inferior console, which leaned heavily on a mandatory motion control gimmick still lags terribly in voice recognition behind a pure gaming machine with an optional camera that can actually use any headset without expensive adapters to receive voice commands that are more precise than the competition which requires a since obsolete camera and cannot trasmit voice through headset, and even struggles with commands in English while the superior gaming console recignizes numerous languages. If I were the inferior console's manufacturer, I would be terribly ashamed and embarassed for releasing an unfinished product that doesn't work properly even after 12 monthly updates...

Don't worry, once alk your friends and relatives buy a better, more desireable console, you will also realize your mistake and find out that it is better to have a wide variety of choices, instead of playing on a niche console with inferior specifications and superior cost.

Except for China, let's not forget that those 180's, did another 180 for the China launch.

You're acting like Xbox One is peoples first choice....its not. PS4 is with it being the market leader.

A price cut will help Xbox One but its still an uphill battle. They're still 2nd place. A victory isn't guaranteed at all like you see to think.

Both will win, because the margins won't be big enough for anything more than a meaningless PR report.

For all of MS's bravado about 'holidays are the only thing that matter', 2015 is the problem for them honestly.

PS4 has a TON of momentum, and the half million new PS4 owners added in September will flow into October/November/December as networking effect happens in a social-media connected world. This isn't to say that MS doesn't have some good deals in the pipe, but it's all focused on the Nov/Dec timeframe.

So I predict a + or - 10% for Nov/Dec with both selling extremely well. But I also think X1 will drop off a cliff in January and stay there until Halo 5.

This gen has no more surprises for us, the die is cast.

And this is the point I am making.If people are only buying it due to a price cut deal,than that is not winning anything.The spike in sales would not last and everything will go back to normal.Sony will always have the advantage for third party games and they have 2 major exclusives releasing in February,then you add the Witcher 3 and MGSPP = Sony continued domination. This whole holiday NPD thing is overrated as it is not even global,so it is irrelevant.Why do MS supporters hold onto NPD so much?The world is bigger than the US people.

I wonder how PS4 was able to get a lead so early in the US, it can't be because of it being $100 less expensive for a good 8 months, can it? I'm not saying this will make the Xbox One the first place console in the US lifetime, I'm just saying MS held almost all their cards back for the holidays and it's the most important season for consoles. During the holidays, it's not about "which is the market leader", but more of "which one can I save more on".

i didnt say the ps4 has no region free games.
