Will MS's pricecut give them a November or December win in the US?

I don't know, they (MS) continue to reduce the price, offer free games and and give away XBL money but PS4 keep surprising me.

High game pre-order numbers could suggest that they may win this one month in North America

Bias is necessary or everyone would buy the objectively best product.  And there would be only one choice.  I agree, bias is not only fine, its necessary for competition; the merits of which are far beyond the scope of this thread lol.  I would only suggest that personal bias shold not influence analytical observations. 

The market is irrelevant, the actual facts of the hardware are the PS4 is a better product.  You can argue that all you like, but you'd be arguing with every technical expert on the planet.

you call that objective?  Same online, PS4 is ghostly quiet (seriously I can't hear it unless I literally put my ear to the system), stays cool (and I've left mine on overnight before), they both get software updates and you picked the worst possible time to have this with 2.0 coming in literally a day lol

What prinz entirely misses is that the majority of American gamers are "swing" gamers. They aren't loyal to any of the three companies and will buy the console in which they think has the best value. If prinz wants to insist that the PS4 is worse than the X1 and consumers are "duped" by Sony's marketing, then allow me to make the same exact argument with the PS3 and 360.

Nothing wrong with feeling eitehr is better thant he other BUT the only issue I have with what you are saying and have said quite a few times before is that the "consumers" are being tricked into doing something...

... your list is incorrect...if you cannot even get the basics right, why should anyone listen to you.. for starters you know the PS4 is region free... cooling/noise both have problems but the XBO needs a massive box to cool itself down... as for software updates. Well Sony has definately had less but bigger meatier features... while XBO has had more. Horses for courses. So patches, I think that one can be left open, while the others are definately fine lines of you being incorrect and what people dont care about as much as you.

So what about about hardware specs, or perhaps asthetics, or perhaps replacing the hard disk, or perhaps how the controller doesnt require batteries or perhaps how the PS4 controller is better... you see anyone can make a list...some people will agree, some wont. But you know how to really decide which is considered the better console.... shhhh don't tell anyone, this is secret, and you might know.... CONSOLE SALES!!

The market has currently decided which the better console is, you can dispute that, but ultimately if they are priced at the same, people believe that the PS4 is the better product... or they would buy an XBO... there is no argument there, that is FACT. Just cause you shout it, doesnt make it true. Sales is the ONLY indicator of what people think is the better product, especially if the product selling less has to undercut on price and still sells worse.

Now lets get back on topic about will it sell more in November and December. Personally I think it will be close, but should still see a PS4 win.

Microsoft is going all-in for the holidays! This is going to be a VERY interesting 2 months! More interesting will be at the start of 2015. Whether MS will be able to maintain increased sales, or whether they'll bring the price back up or not.

Microsoft must be losing money on console sales now. There's not much left they can do...

I Think Sony Will do something as a reaction on MS price cut in the US.
Maybe a price cut, maybe some kind of bundle / free digital game or similar
