Forums - Nintendo - The Wii U gamepad's remote play range?

Devil_Survivor said:
It really should be compared to the remote play with the VitaPS3 because that has either WiFi or 3G connection I don't believe the gamepad has either of those.

Vita's Remote Play only works with WiFi. You can't do Remote Play over 3G; Not enough bandwidth.

The controller has more "germs" on it than the toilet seat.

And I'm not exaggerating.

Is that before or after you played Bayonetta 2?

I have never taken it farther than the Bathroom so I wouldnt know how far it reaches.

"I think it will be the HDS"-Me in regards to Nintendo's next handheld.

I can play it 6-7 meters away if I have line of view with the console, or in the next room because the wall on my apartment are thick.

You can if you work from home.
In the room next to your living room.

I get about 20 feet in a building with a pretty busy wifi band. I get like 30 feet when I'm at home. It can handle a wall and sometimes two. I think it just depends on what's in the way and how busy wireless signals are in the area. I would never count on much more than I get, though.

5-6 meters max. It already keeps disconnecting when I take it to the far side of our living room or onto the deck, just one glass door in the way, less than 3 meters from the console.
