Forums - Microsoft Discussion - New Xbox One IP In The Works That Will "Push The Boundaries"

So he is the one responsible for the 2010-2013 years on 360... Not a good thing imo

The best Arcade(Indie) era on consoles. Credit that to him, the general manager of MS studios he actually assumed the position in 2008.

Before bragging about indies was a cool thing to do.

It's totally fair, because we know Sony and Nintendo dont disappoint on this, we are used to this with them. And we believe them since they already revealed a lot of new ip coming for 2015

While, for now, it's only words from Spencer, he is good at seducing the gamers with words i noticed, so good at his  PR job,  but we'll believe what we'll see.

All the first party titles you see on Xbox One or Xbox 360 since 2010 are his doing.

He was in charge of Xbox One first party development and he put the most varied game selection on the 1st year of any new gen consoles.

Platformer: Max & TMM

Fighting: KI (MS never made the IP, primarily developed by third party)

Racing Sim: Forza M5 (Legitmate IP made by MS)

Racing Arcade: Forza H2 (Legitimate)

FPS: Titanfall, The Master Chief Collection (IP not made by MS but invested in in some form or fashion)

Adventure/Hack and Slash: Ryse (Funded by MS and coming to other consoles)

Adventure/Survival: Dead Rising 3 (Funded by MS but coming to PC)

Adventure/ Open World: Sunset Overdrive (Third party and they are a secondary choice publisher since Sony chose not to support it)

Plus he is rebooting an obscure game like Phantom Dust, just to show how he's committed to make X1 a jack of all trades.

If we're talking about IP's, Microsofts most valuable ones outside of Forza and Fable were made by outside companies.

Platformer: Max & TMM

Fighting: KI (MS never made the IP, primarily developed by third party) Guess who decided to choose from all the tech demos Double Helix's. Not Nintendo.

Racing Sim: Forza M5 (Legitmate IP made by MS)

Racing Arcade: Forza H2 (Legitimate)

FPS: Titanfall, The Master Chief Collection (IP not made by MS but invested in) Titanfall as it is, is first party as much as Halo 1 & 2.

Adventure/Hack and Slash: Ryse (Funded by MS and coming to other consoles) Prove with a confirmation and a release date from Crytek.

Adventure/Survival: Dead Rising 3 (Funded by MS but coming to PC) Halo 1 and 2 are on PC as well. Max, Fable, Iron Brigade, etc...  all of them are part of First Party portfolio during their regular shelf life.

Adventure/ Open World: Sunset Overdrive (Third party and they are a secondary choice publisher since Sony chose not to support it) They could be 10th choice, SO as of now is a part of First Party portfolio and can only be played on X1.

Plus he is rebooting an obscure game like Phantom Dust, just to show how he's committed to make X1 a jack of all trades.

You're completely out of the loop. All those IPs are MS's first party even if they go to PC.

All of them were funded to stay on MSs platform and they stayed during their relevant shelf life.

Go look up what first party means. Also, just because a game is funded doesn't mean its first party, nor does it mean it will stay exclusive forever. Funding third party pads out and masks Microsofts lack of internal prowess. Also MS never created Halo, it was already primarily developed before they even purchased bungie.

First party, exclusives, they're the same... until the rights/contract gets bought/expire.

Also, your fixation with Microsoft got old kid. Change your tune.

First party is exclusive, but not all exclusives are first party. Learn the difference. Reliability on when someone talks about internal IP production is key. THis is why people question Microsoft. Their ability is questionable.

Dude please on lecturing me on the first party definition.

No one questions Microsoft but you with some absurd and repeated fallacies. MS have one of the best Creative Director in the industry, who's been with them since the og Xbox.

LOL I think he does it just for shtick now. It's funny to read someone contradict themselves so frequently and constantly shift goal posts.

Like that big list of crap he just posted about all the Microsoft games. And yet Sony has a list you can make just like that, only when they fund games or reach deals it's "expanding their catalog" and "forming partnerships" and "collaborations". And did you know that Naughty Dog was a D tier developer making only shit games until Sony bought them and showed them how to make good games? The more you know.

Umm. I'm pretty sure EVERYONE questions Microsoft at this point.

Doesn't that speak more towards the strength that Sony has in knowing gaming than it does to Naughty Dog's performance though?
