No doubt that has to be disappointing for MS.  To be somewhat expected though since the inflation was largely due to multiple launches (China specificially, but official launches in other tier 2 areas as well).  Despite that though, doubling your competition is still doubling your competition.  Baseline demand can give a clear indication of holiday demand.  Especially when you start factoring in the 3rd party games that are exclusively NOT on Wii U.

Yes, Smash Bros + Holidays tend to favor Nintendo a lot more then the rest. WiiU could outsell XB1 for the months of November/December as a whole.
