100 mil is way too ridiculous. That's still more than double the current sales.
The release of the N3DS will surely bring happier numbers to the 3ds family, since it has been down YoY for a while. But I don't think your prediction will come true. Up from my 60-ish million to 70-ish million, but that's it imo.
If it does reach those numbers--which I doubt--I don't understand why anyone thinks the New 3DS would be the thing to do it. It's a minor hardware upgrade, and we've already gotten most of the big-hitters for the system.

Yes, double dipping isnt heard of for Home Consoles and other HH's? I think many will over exaggerate 3ds's numbers. Sold=Sold. People upgrade all the time, do you think ps2 actually was in 155mil homes owned by 155mil different people for example? :0

3DS will sell more than 100 million, worst scenario 90 million.
Considering the fact that the 3DS has no direct competition, it will easily go beyond 100 million.
5 million more than otherwise at best. The 3DS has peaked.
Nintendo will be lucky to see numbers reach 60 million.

It's possible, but I think it depends on what's in store in 2016, and how successful Amiibo is.
For now, LT I believe it will be 85-90M.

So every N3DS owner is getting XC right? I mean looking at japan sales, im sure all 230k double dipped for N3DS exclusive titles that haven't released at all (and just 1 being a Wii Port).
Its the same argument with Double SKU games, Not even close to half the people double dip for those. (,Pokemon)
