Dragon's Crown > Princess Crown and Dungeons and Dragons: Shadow Over Mystara

Mighty No.9 > MegaMan

Dark souls surpassed demons souls. And soon bloodborne will surpass dark souls. Also bioshock series surpassed system shock series.

Shadow of the colossus > ico

inb4 Dark souls

Demon's souls > King's field

*Dark souls is a demon's souls 2,nothing new just improvements that you expect from a "sequel"(graphics, gameplay fixes,etc...).

Perfect Dark > Goldeneye

hmm, never thought of that. But I agree, it was way better than Goldeneye

I disagree with this one. Perfect Dark seemed to try and take all the best elements of goldeneye and make it better but they lost something. The levels in perfect dark all seemed to be trying to achieve what the larger more complex levels in goldeneye achieved... But made even bigger.

The thing is goldeneye had a much greater variaty of levels than that. It was great how it laid all the levels in front of you and they were all short and all offering radically diffrent expiriances. Most of the levels were small enough to very comfortably replay over and over trying to get best times. People nostalge about the great goldeneye levels like the facility and the bunker. But there was so much more in that game. I liked mindlessly charging down the completly linear train level, guns blasing or snipering people in the surface or running through archives on the hardest difficulty without shooting any of the npc's because I was trying to better my best time. The guns were more satifying in Goldeneye for the most part too.

Perfect dark on the n64 also had a poorer framerate, though I've played the 360 version which is obviously does not suffer the same problem.
