As much as I think Anita is a cancerous limb on the gaming community that needs to be cut off (ignored) people placing legitimate threats on her life are not helping our cause....however part of me has a small amount of doubt on the legitimacy of these threats, her previous threats she has gotten never held much ground really so I can't really say this is any different.

Personally, I think people give this shit way too much credence.  It's like listening and logically responding to every troll in every aspect of society.  Somehow the shitty gamer trolls (that's assuming everyone who's chimed in on this in a...less than adult fashion, is a gamer), are a true reflection of the gaming public...but every other troll out there is identified, marginalized and ignored.  How does that make any sense, whatsoever?

These threats are more like when celebrities "accidentally" have a sex tape leaked.

It's a simple fact that every large fanbase has its crazies and its idiots. Unfortunately, she's going to use that to her advantage and paint all the people who disagree with her as violent and prejudiced.

The best method would be to ignore her, despite the gaming media being on her side, but dumbasses like the person who made this threat are too stupid to see that he's playing into her hands.

he was scum, but I do think he actually believed the shit he was saying. he genuinely believed it, took his position to court and defended it to the best of his ability. i can respect that at least.

There is literally no mention of the perpetrator being a gamer whatsoever in his mail. Just that he hates feminists.

Probably as serious as the threats to zoe quinn, which she do'esn't hesitate to ignore and go to public events.

Sarkeesian didn't do the same mistake.
