Great numbers but how will it look six months from now? The 2DS also revitalized the handheld scene for a while but then it tumbled right back down. I hardly think that this is any kind of indication that the 3DS will experience growth in 2015, in fact; I think it will be down yoy by a fair amount (at least 10-15%).

Oh C'mon bro. N3DS did extremely well 260k is amazing, last year numbers were one of the biggest ever. If you compare launches N3DS kicks ass!

Yes we need to wait overall how it does, but for now its doing amazing. looking at HW sales, the regular 3ds/LL model destroyed every othr HW last week alone. N3DS selling out everywhere, cant spin that :P

JK. That's amazing. . I really think next gen Nintendo should stick to what they do best, handhelds. That way they don't have to worry about losing money in the home console biz and be pure profit, again. They can either make keep their exclusives on the handheld or go 3rd party just for home consoles.

Anyway, great numbers and they don't even include the normal 3DS SKUs. 3DS will definitely be #1 this week, with PS4 in a relatively distant 2nd.

I want one. Hate having to wait so long. I would have bought a Smash bundle if they had one. I saw the 3DS smash bundle but no point getting it when the new one is around the corner.

Nintendo could release the exact same handheld with a Mario stamp in Japan and it would sell like crazy. Japanese people have always been big supporters of things like this.
