There is a reason why 76 is still color coded green on metacritic
Green = good
Yellow = meh
Red = bad
Also, to parrot off of what so many others said, using reviewers you generally agree with and trust is the best way to go.
I bought The Evil Within yesterday and while the initial learning curve of how to go about sneaking around people was mildly frustrating I am enjoying the hell out of it.
