This is the genre that Kamiya does best and the game really really really really needs to sell and save the genre

really really really needs to

Pls everyone buy it :(

Even if u dont hv a Wii U

Wait what? Are you saying I should buy the game even though I don't have a Wii U or are you saying I should buy the Wii U for 300 dollars just to play one game?

Either one doesn't sound so great to me.

Just a joke man :p

I mainly feel that the action game genre is dying and if this one with such great reviews fails then it does not bode well. Then only god of war and dmc are left to save it. Doubt that NG will do too much. Just hurts the vareity in our industry :(

So go buy the game :D

The responsibility isn't on the consumer, it's on Nintendo to do the "right thing" and release at least a port after some time has passed. Then the burden shifts back to the consumer to "save" the genre as you speak.

Look man, reality is that no one is going to suddenly trade in their XB1 and PS4 just to buy a Wii U for one game, no matter how praised. Heck, people aren't going to buy the Wii U period. It's the most odd console-game relationship that has ever existed. Also the most controversial for obvious reasons.

The "right thing"? What does Nintendo owe gamers who did not support them?

Btw, I just found out that the first game is 90% on meta (360), these scores should have been expected then.

You seem to be working pretty hard to justify dismissing a high score for this game as not being important...

Looks like I'm going to have to update this thread with a new top 10 entry! I now think it'll finish above the original.

I see your point and it is of course logical from a business perspective, Bayonetta - Wii U is not exactly a match made in heaven. My plea on the other hand is emotional than logical, if gamers and genre fans show enough interest we could see much demanded port of the game (which i doubt will ever happen).

Nintendo does deserve rightful credit for making the game happen. But its exclusivity also means significantly reduced sales. What a mess.

Well at least I finally have something to play on Wii U till Zelda U comes out...

I thought its point was rather obvious.

I love how so many haters are going apeshit over Bayo 2 getting a 10 from GS.. If it was a PS4/X1  multiplat then nobody would be saying a god damn thing.

I find such generalizations bad and unncessary.

Also, let's not forget all the people who bashed GS for years for giving Ninty games low scores (starting with a Zelda game) calling GS trash and all kinds of names, only to make a big deal of of the site now that they gave a Ninty game a perfect 10. You can't have it both ways. You either  consider it unreliable or you don't.

Also, don't forget about the people claiming for the death of Metacritic for being an extremely unreliable indicator of how good the game is going to be, recent claims. But now, they just go to it and check the Bayonetta score every hour.

Actually, I stand by it being an overrated and unreliable measuring stick. I couldn't care less if Bayonetta 2 scored a 98 or a 74, I'd already decided I was buying it.

Incredible! A 10 from Gamespot! Suck it hard people.
