well.....I think they would be in console business still.
I hope the Wii U has modest success though, of about 30M.

We wouldn't have the Wii U or 3DS, but we'd still have Nintendo hardware.
As others pointed out, DS and Wii were sold at a profit from launch. Iwata said at the time if Wii didn't work out brilliantly, Nintendo would simply go back to the drawing board and get ready to try again. That's what they did with GameCube and it's what they're doing now.
N64 sales for the Wii would've probably kept them going.
They earned more on each system than they did with the N64, and they earned a LOT more on each game, courtesy of having switched to discs. In any case, it'd have been a notable step up in sales from the GameCube.
GBA sales for DS is a little harder to gauge, as the DS was their leading handheld for twice the time the GBA was. If it had sold at the same pace, It'd still have done respectably given the time frame.
The world would be a very different place.
Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.
Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash
Bear in mind that back then Nintendo were making a profit on all hardware sales as well as software sales. So even with modest success they'd have made a decent profit on those consoles. The problem they have now is that they have been forced into selling hardware for a loss, and that's hurting them.
Still would be Nintendo consoles, but definitely no the WiiU or 3DS.
Probably would have made Nintendo change their strategy though.

Not compared to the DS. If the DS had 'only' gotten GBA level sales, and the Wii only got N64 level sales, then Nintendo would've had severely less cash on hand (like, a lot less cash). Now, both the 3DS and tge Wii U would probably be very different to what they're now if that had happened, but if they'd been the same as they are now, after that, then it could've been quite a big problem for Nintendo, but they probably could've gotten by regardless.

I'd like to inform you guys that the GBA has something like just four years to itself and two revisions (SP and Micro, latter bombed, as far as I know), whilst the NDS has six years and three revisions (DSLite, DSi, DSi XL). DSi split the DS base because of DSiWare.
Wii selling like N64 in six years is going to be terrible, though. Wii U wouldn't exist, Iwata would get fired.
