If the Wii and DS only had modest success, would Nintendo be out of the console business by now?

I'd like to inform you guys that the GBA has something like just four years to itself and two revisions (SP and Micro, latter bombed, as far as I know), whilst the NDS has six years and three revisions (DSLite, DSi, DSi XL). DSi split the DS base because of DSiWare.

Wii selling like N64 in six years is going to be terrible, though. Wii U wouldn't exist, Iwata would get fired.
