Yes, this is a fabulous game, even ef you haven't played any other DQ games. I hadn't, and I loved DQ IX.

Also, on DS:

Super Scribblenauts, if you like puzzle games.

Oh you will be hooked!!! It just gets better, and better, and better.

Especially story wise....and there is a ton of secret areas to explore. Heck..i played through it twice just so live through the story again. The world is also very large for a DS game.
