Forums - Gaming - Your favourite location in a video game

Greenvale. Isn't that right, Zach?

Enchanted Kingdom Throne Room - Kameo: Elements of Power (X360, 2005)

First of all, this image does not do this location justice. Quite possibly my last true "wow" moment related to video game graphics. After entering this area, I knew that good looking visuals no longer came down to hardware; the hardware doesn't need to be more powerful than this.

Water temple - The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (GC, 2006)

One of the most cleverly designed dungeons in the series. Featuring coral reef mazes, underwater creatures and water flow related puzzles that makes this level feel more alive than any other comparable area.

Facility - Goldeneye 007 (N64, 1997)

The arena of immense pain and glory.

Halo - Halo: CE (XB, 2001)

The moment I realized Halo was more than just another First Person Shooter was the moment I took a seat in that Warthog. Free to explore the vast plains of Halo however I wanted to (if it wasn't for the fact that my brother was in the driver's seat).

Inside the Moon - The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64, 2000)

Who would have thought that the one most peaceful location in video game history was inside the moon, even in its process of crushing Termina?

I know I didn't.

Aesir Corporation (Max Payne)

Tuscany (Assassin's Creed 2)

Displace International (Splinter Cell Chaos Theory)

Rook Islands (Far Cry 3)

Hong Kong (Hitman Contracts)

Metropolis, Planet Kerwan (Ratchet & Clank)

Tricell Underground Facility (Resident Evil 5)

Nepal (Uncharted 2 Among Thieves)

I guess I have a liking for concrete, steel and glass rather than open vast worlds.

Guys, please choose just one location. I could've picked many locations in the OP, but I wanted this to be about your favourite, not favourites.

Rome from AC II. Columbia from BioShock is my second favourite.

Read my post above. I've asked to limit your post to your single favourite location.

This is the most beautiful location ever
