Beyond: Two Souls was pretentious, overrated garbage. How David Cage continues to make games is beyond me. I could eat alphabet soup, jam a finger damn my throat, and vomit a more cohesive, relatable, and entertaining story while still having more fun than playing one of his games.

I really enjoyed Beyond Two Souls. Kept me away from my PS4 until I finished it. Not perfect but doesn't deserve a lot of the flack it gets.

The only other game on that list I played was Eternal Darkness. It looked cheap back when it came out (graphically) but it sucked me in like few other games have. Don't know how well it holds up and I can't find my copy but back then, I was starved for a new game and ED really blew me away with its mind fucks.

Are the other games underrated? I thought most, if not all, did very well critically and amongst players.

*edit* Oh, I played Shenmue, too.  I thought it was short but spectacular as a showcase for what the Dreamcast could do.  Now, I don't think it's that good.  If anything, it's probably kinda overrated.

I love Beyond: Two Souls and I'm glad I gave it a chance. Definitely deserved more sales and appreciation than it got in my opinion.

Most of those games aren't even underrated.. What about titles like Vanquish and Mirror Edge?

Also beyond two souls at first place makes me sad, it could be such a good game if they hired an actual screenplay writer. Instead Cage wants to do it himself, and so his dream for video game to be better than a movie experience will never be fulfilled. So it doesn't deserve more sales IMO

Yeah, I think every game on that list doesn't qualify as "underrated." Good, sure, but I know of every one of them, even if I haven't played them.

A good example of an underrated game is Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective Practically nobody's heard of it, and it is an absolutely FANTASTIC game. Quite possibly the best handheld game of Gen 7, especially for gamers who play for story.
