The game doesn't do any favours for to make itself any fun and it's 3D puzzles are the opposite of captivating. If this game was sooo good as people are hyping it up to be then why won't Nintendo price it at $60 instead of $40 ? This game literally looks like an indie title and it is also the embodiment of why I dislike a lot of the indie titles too.
Why couldn't Nintendo work on something more interesting like a WRPG, an open world FPS like Far Cry 3, or their own trademark stealth game like MGS ? There could be so many more cool things that Nintendo could be doing other than making this game ...

This is Tokyo EAD, a studio that specializes in making puzzle platformer games. They have none of the necessary experience, or likely the resources, manpower, or desire to make a WRPG or an FPS.
I agree with you that Nintendo should diversify, but none of what you suggested is a realistic alternative for this particular studio.

This is EAD Tokyo, they make puzzle and platform games. You may as well suggest that a biologist should publish a work on quantum chronodynamics, or Naughty Dog make a game with good gameplay. (Badumtish!)
