That ill will is deadly.

Destiny is a lot better than a 6/10 but Bungie completely f'd up by not having a proper storyline, would have reviewed and been received much better.

The first impression is the story and it's probably the worst in a game that tries to have a story. However, after you get over the initial and massive disappointment and continue playing with your friends it actually provides more hours of fun than most games.

I would tell you how you're very wrong but I don't even have the time to tell you why I don't have the time.

I guess Destiny sold and rated terrible in Activision view, although those sale would be impressive by any other companies standards. This probably put a big dent in the relationship between Activision and Bungie.

325m is not stellar. That's 175m short of its supposed 500m budget. Not that Destiny can't make back the rest of the money but it is certainly troubling.

They sold $325m worth of Destiny copies but they shipped $500m in the first day. So technically they broke even if the budget was actually $500m.

I don't think the article is bad, but people are just not getting it. It is by no means saying Destiny is not going to make a ton of money or that ATVI is doomed. He is just saying the stock was overpriced and expecting bigger sales and better reviews.

While this is a new IP, it is a FPS being made/published by two of the biggest names of the genre (and the industry).

I do agree that besides his presented reasons (Destiny sales, Destiny critical flop, COD sales down, WoW down) there are other reasons (release of earnings report, Titan canned, etc)

That's 175m that have not sold through though. In other words, in five days, 325m sold. Compare that to Black Ops 2 selling through 500m in 24 hours. There's 175m in stock that could return Activision's way. Not good.

I don't think the extra stock wil be returned. Retailers might have actually sold the extra stock by now. But because of the used games market and the average reviews, it will probably have bad legs and won't sell well in the long run.

I stopped supporting Activision years ago and am glad that I did.

I stopped with MW3. I enjoyed MW2 and Black Ops but then MW3 came out and it felt like I was playing MW2. I should have just gone back instead of buying what was essentially the same game.
