Maybe one day I'll get a powerhouse PC rig, maybe when 4k is more standardized and when I have a steady source of income.

This was already one of the best looking games I've ever seen on Xbone at 900p/30fps, so the PC version should be truly spectacular.
The whole on-rails off-rails thing is a bit overblown. As long as you can actually walk around, and you aren't actually forced to go on one set path, you're not on rails (even if it's just a corridor).
And my rig is ready:
i5 4690k
8GB RAM
Nvidia GTX 970
Kinda dissapointed that my PC would have beasted the 4K recommended specs.. BEFORE i upgraded it.
what make 4k tv's ya'll got

I smell like the dark forest of Dwemereth in the morning mist
fanboy til i'm bankrupt

Some damn fine looking textures here, no doubt, but to me, it's hyperbolic to call them "unmatched". Last Light was actually praised for its texture work, in fact (quite a bit of the reviews pointed them out). Can't say I heard the same for Battlefield 4. |
All I am thinking is that that screenshot looks god damn near photo-realistic. One generation from now man! We can both look forward to that! ;)
Prediction for console Lifetime sales:
Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million
[Prediction Made 11/5/2009]
3DS: 65m, PSV: 22m, Wii U: 18-22m, PS4: 80-120m, X1: 35-55m
I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.
[Prediction Made 6/18/2014]
It's more than ready, but Ryse is not a good enough game for me to double dip for :P

S.T.A.G.E., my friend, as I said earlier - this isn't a thread about game-play. Those who "don't give a shit" shouldn't come in here. This is for people that do and have rigs capable of running it. We can talk about game-play else where. |
You're right. I was just speaking on principle, but I see your point. My gripe with them has been going on for years because they just never seem to get it. Same thing with Quantic Dream.

Nice! What are you working with? |
Intel Xeon E3-1231 v3 (3.40 GHz) (basically an i7 without proper overclocking capabilities), GeForce GTX 770, and 8 GB of RAM. The rest goes along quite nicely too, but the mentioned parts should be the most interesting parts. Falls a bit short from recommended 4k but I consider it pretty close still. Not entirely sure about the graphics card and its 'low' VRAM.

I can understand that view, although in Quantic Dream's case, they actually want to be different. Though I must say, I've always found the Crysis games to have a unique, entertaining feel. Perhaps I'm alone, but their game-play has never really bothered me! |
Well Crysis for its time period was not a bad shooter. I'm more of a console gamer and that game is tailored for the PC games much like Far Cry usd to be. I like console games more. The reason I have a gripe with Cyrtek is because they are trying to bring their unmotivated style to the console realm which demands a fresher approach. They are bound to the old PC realms of graphical surpremacy when it comes to shooters and they are half the reason for that dull stigma. I can understand your point about Quantic Dream. They really are trying to be different but my gripe with them is really about their case in thinking that graphics and emotion have everything to to do with capturing true emotion when more games that had lesser graphics (including Last of Us, Lost Odyssey, Sotc) made me shed a tear faster than any of their games.
