I wonder for some of us, for others I feel like I have a pretty good idea already...

And having said that, the community is quite fragmented. A subset disliking a mod does not necessarily reflect the views of the 'community' in the grander sense.

Problem is not everyone will post, so you don't really know either way. But we have suggested it in the past; this thread and general conversation with users outside of the site gives a good enough indication for me!

I can't speak for the whole community, but I'd say you're all cool (for now ). I just see that there's a varying degree of moderation methods between all of you. But apart from that, it's good to find a place that doesn't look like the IGN or the Youtube comments section.

I think they view you as one of the best mods, I havn't seen one person moan about a ban you gave them, and you don't show any bias whatsoever, along with maturity.

I'm not saying that to suck up, as you know our past isn't all the friendliest, but I am really glad you're on the mod team.

I'm not sure I can say anything else about others, other than Mummel certain others being awesome too.

Yeah, the bolded part is particularly true. As for the varying degree of moderation, that's one of the great things of having a mod team and a seperate mod chat; so we can decide as a group the majority of moderations which aren't just alts or clean-cut. We don't always agree, ofcourse, but I feel like we almost always arrive at the correct and the just decision.

One thing of note is that I (can't speak for the other mods but I'd imagine the reasoning is something similar) only do this in order to give something back to the community. As you said, this place isn't just like the YouTube comments, and that's a good thing in my eyes. There's some really great guys here who I speak to quite a bit, and I want to do as much as I can to make this place as good as it can possibly be for those people. That's enough of a "reward" for me; I just hope that the majority of the people on the site appreciate that. From experience, particularly in the last few months, that seems to be the case. Which is good! 

Ofcourse noone is perfect, and we're always trying to improve, but it's nice to see opinions and thoughts of users about how we as a team are doing.
