What 32%?  The PS4 is 40% more powerful. 1.84/1.31 = 1.405. And those 530GFLOPS are nearly the equivalent of two X360. They might be crap specs compared to the ones of the highest PCs, but in such case the XB1 specs are even crappier. The PS4 has well shown that it can easily run games at 1080p30fps, not so easily the XB1. Only Ubisoft is still downgrading the resolution on PS4. Hell to them.

i think its at the point if you see his name and read his thread/post its the equivalant of seeing a very small kid/child do something innocently wrong or makes a mistake,you say awww,you cant blame him he's tiny and doesnt know any better,and you chalk it away as it being something cute with no real discipiline and kinda look the other way..... this is how i think the mods look at it/him at this point...

Just to get something clear here, if a game is cpu bottlenecked that indeed can limit the fps. But if a faster gpu is introduced that same game will still be able to run at a higher resolution with the same fps. I was a fanatic rig builder and tester for many years and the story of a lower resolution because of the limitations of a cpu is just complete nonesence.

That said the jump from 900p to 1080p only causes a hit on performance of less than 20%, the gap in gpu power between x1 and ps4 is atleast double that(and that's not counting in difference in memory bandwidth).

The bottom line is, either the PS4 version has to have significantly better graphics quality or Ubisoft are lying and limiting the PS4 version to X1.

You are defending what has no defense Toastboy. No reason of the power sort was given. Simply that it was set to parity to avoid discussions of resolution gating. That makes it beyond clear that the PS4 Could do more than that.

Of course, we all know this is the case because of the deal they made with microsoft for Unity. Ubi wanted to be a good partner, but obviously forgot to consider the legion of assassin's creed on the playstation. Pretty bad mistake when the ps4 is dominating the hardware sales.

The whole intention of showing off their new engines is to wow people with the factor of graphics and next gen fidelity. No matter how slowly we're going they are aiming to move towards the uncanny valley

It wasn't too long ago when Sony fans told Nintendo thanks that boycotting Ubisoft and EA game would result in them pulling support for the hardware.

Exactly how, in this instance are gamers putting visuals before gameplay?

I was under the impression this resolution debacle was not related to gameplay in any way, shape or form. In fact, this is a franchise that is reknowned for solid gameplay. It's the questionable decision of the developers in relation to optimization that has gamers up in arms.
