we all remember but the thing is the xbox graph was on the up so much it was hard to see the PS4 taking the USA this gen. Nobody saw that coming especially not a 1 million gap after just 10 months. 

My main point was the use of the word unprecedented.  The 360 seriously flipped the playstation2 lead, the ps4 has not come close to the same flip.

It isnt unprecedented.

the 360 released a year earlier and much cheaper. the net flip is proabably pretty equal. And it's only been 10 months. PS4 could pull away even more.

ps3:  28.65m down almost 50%

xbox:  47.4m up over 200%

 

Now THAT was unprecedented... and any changes this gen wont be anywhere near those levels this gen.


the market has changed so a bad comparison. The PS2 had a lot of casuals. The net flip is pretty big and nobody predicted it. I'd call something that 99% of people didn't predict, unprecidented.

The PS4 sold 186k last week and this week (FIFA week) it sold 210k. I expected a boost bigger than 25k (actually 24k)

The bad thing is I don't trust these numbers until a few months after they're put on here. PS4 was way undertracked for a while and I think XB1 may be heavily overtracked

Wow, impressive numbers for both PS4 and xbox1. I think the notion of the Wii U coming in second place has well been erradicated. I think with tier 1 territories having access to the xbox1, the baseline will increase comfortably to over 60,000 a week(that is a conservative guess).

i stated that russia is in europe and asia. He said in reply to somebody that it's because it's not really in europe meaning he is judging it to be in asia because the majortiy of the country is! It doesn't suddenly mean he starts tracking countries like switzerland/norway/ukraine/iceland as not being in europe just because they haven't joined a union on the continent.

There is nothing disrespectful about my replies. Maybe you're just being too sensitive. I was just pointing out to that guy with the map of the EU that the reason ioi doesn't consider russia to be in europe isn't because they're not in the EU. He was wrong with what he said and i corrected him. ioi said "because russia is not really in europe". I take that as meaning most of the country is geopgraphically not in europe. He is right as well.

i've read these forums since they were created and I can tell you that's a fact. Don't whether it's funny or sad. I wonder what he'd be like if the X1 was winning. I'd imagine very arrogant.

Is this thread now a personal hunting ground? This is totally off-topic and his attitude couldn't be worse than the one of many others on this forum here who are on "the other side".
