I just saw the review. My only complaint will be no check points after certain areas. I don't like redoing an area I already completed, just for a cheap death. But everything else seems good. I don't know why they gave it 5.9. It sounds hard. But it doesn't look like Double Dragon 3.

The scores are a little better than I expected.
Maybe on a STEAM sale because I liked the movies (ok, not all of them).

I expect a ~75 come the end of everything being said and done.

Definite rental.

Do you guys think that people who have a hard time playing a game because it is to hard for them, wind up reviewing lower.

I really, really, want this to be good.

Alien deserves a decent game.

That's the truth.

@OP: after reading these reviews, I think I'll wait for a rental or price drop. I love the Alien mythology and I love survival horror games, but reports of an overlong and repetitive campaign scare me off.

Yes. People are emotional. That affects everything. From scores, to not buying a product. So reviews are gonna be messed with, if that person does bad at the game. Plus, the game has another bias. It's stealth. People expect you blowing shit up in a Alien game.

The game seems to have polarized scores. IGN and GameSpot complained about how hard the game is. Did they forget it's a SURVIVAL HORROR!!!

Were they detail how the xeno will randomly find you in lockers with no warning.  Not hard, just broken and frustrating stealth with no indication of whether you have been spotted or not.

I saw the IGN video review. He is right on one thing: the game is hard and frustrating. But still, it looks like an amazing experience that's far, far better than most of the mainstream "survival horror" games. So if Ryan chose an easier difficulty, the game would've been scored differently?

I think people just want the white tanooki suits on games in general -_-

Just my opinion but im pretty much the opposite. Ill review a game lower if its too easy and if it challenges me in a fun way ill praise that. I usually always start games on hard difficulty
