An interesting Twitter conversation is going on at the moment between disgruntled XB1 fans and PES developer:

http://www.gamepur.com/news/16390-dev-pes-2015-ps3xbox-one-720p-resolution-doesnt-mean-visuals-will-be-same.html

His best answer was he saying to look to the others games... it is not a PES 2015 issue... he hints they dropped the resolution for locked 60fps.

Yep, which is exactly what I said early on. They probably could have made it 900p/30fps but decided framerate was more important and dropped it to 720p/60fps, which is understandable for a game that requires fluency.

Because this game is so advanced that the poor xbox one can't handle it when fifa is miles above it and it's 1080p and 60fps on both.Konami at it's best.Did they already spend the check Sony gave them?

Why would Sony pay them to limit the resolution of the XB1 version? You need to calm down.

You are right that the game's userbase is shrinking. But the more fans it got are not from Japan. It's Europe and always will be.Football sells here no matter what.

Oh really? Looks like the latest one sold best in Japan to me...

Pos Game Platform Year Genre Publisher North America Europe Japan Rest of World Global
1 Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 PS3 2013 Action Konami Digital Entertainment 0.02 0.35 0.49 0.14 1.00
2 Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 X360 2013 Action Konami Digital Entertainment 0.04 0.13 0.00 0.02 0.19
3 Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 3DS 2013 Action Konami Digital Entertainment 0.00 0.00 0.17 0.00 0.17
4 Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 PSP 2013 Action Konami Digital Entertainment 0.00 0.00 0.13 0.00 0.13
5 Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 PC 2013 Action Konami Digital Entertainment 0.00 0.08 0.00 0.02 0.10
Total 0.06 0.57 0.78 0.18 1.59

There are no numbers in half of those charts.Pro evolution series and football games in general sell most on europe.See the fifa numbers or the previous pes who actually have real numbers.

Can you find another logical explanation when fifa is the same for both?

It's because it's Konami.

On PS4 almost all multi games look better. Sorry for the truth.
project cars and lords of fallen looks on ps4 better too with beautiful 1080p : )

I'm fully aware of the PS4 having better graphics, but saying that PES couldn't run in 1080p on the XBO is foolish.

I did not say that. but the xboxone has really not much power.

but shadow of mordor is on ps4 also much better (1080p / 60fps vs 720p / 30 fps)
project cars running on ps4 with 1080p and 60 fps, on xboxone it is questionable.

the new pes15 too. That says it all, I think. I do not think the developer is to blame. But I accept all opinions. Yours too, my friend : )

This all couldn't have happened at a worse time for MS. We have PES at 720p/30fps, rumours of Shadow of Mordor running at 720p/30fps and rumblings of Dragon Age Inquisition not using the freed up SKU, which could also ultimately lead to a higher resolution on the PS4. Which console is a neutral going to buy or advise a friend to buy? And even if two of the above just turn out to be rumours, the doubt (or worry) is still going to make people favour the PS4.

From those 2 pictures the bottom one (FIFA) looks way better. Looks similar to a real match on TV.

It is not... and neither looks close to a real match on TV... to be fair both are years back this target.

OMG.... I would expect at worst, 1080p/60fps vs. 720p/60fps, but twice the framerate AND over twice the resolution?? o.O

Fifa 15 is surely more advanced than pes 15.

for all pics:

and here a video comparison:

+ Fifa 15

Fifa 15 has physically based lighting while pes 15 looks more like simple blin-phong shading.
While Fifa 15 clearly uses subsurface scattering, it looks like completly missing in pes 15.
Eye shaders are lifeless on pes 15.
Hair shaders are like rock on pes 15.
Animation system is much deeper in fifa 15.

- Fifa 15

some player effects make them look pixelated on the edges (probably subsurface scattering?)
pes 15 has higher resolution textures (at least it looks like that, probably because the textures are just modified screenshots of the players faces)
