better not release it at all if you un-support it before it is even releases - .-

Well, they probably signed a contract with Nintendo before Wii U's launch and try to do fulfill it with the least effort possible.

How to piss off your gamer base on all consoles.... tell a platform that was previously getting DLC that it's not getting DLC then retract a statement because you said "oops, guess I f'd that up"

although reading through the thread here, i think Ubisoft's marketing team needs a shake up or a good firing squad :)

No and No, why should the person be fired for such a small issue? It's not like it would have sold well on WiiU had it launched with the other versions. Now if it'd been PS4, or XB1 then yes.

A month later when there was nothing out and the hype was still there from MK8 would have been a perfect time as well.

 

A week or two after Smash would be good as well since hype will be high and it is the holidays as well. Having it's own event, some advertising and some sort of perks. Too close to smash will just help it get lost in the shuffle, and forget about any pre-ordering of it.

Do you honestly expect them to pay for advertising of the Wii U verison now?

To be fair, unless the game raises above my expectations, I would be unlikely to buy any dlc. Still, if they packaged the wii u version with dlc included it would have been nice addition that might have helped me decided to buy it.

I'm on the fence at the moment leaning towards not buying. I wasn't going to buy hyrule warriors yet I caved in yesterday so I can't rule out caving in over wachdogs when it's out.

Don't worry WiiU owners. You're not missing anything. Just a mediocre sandbox game with a hacking gimmick.

I'd recommend GTAV instead...
