Not really sure if Destiny will have legs this holiday. The lukewarm reception seems to have hurt it a lot.
Unless LBP3 and Driveclub sell in miraculous numbers, I see Wii U and X1 storming back onto the market taking PS4's market share away.

I don't know how you see a game that sells ~2.3-2.5m FW NOT reaching 5m before the end of the year with holidays yet to come.

People are talking just good things about the game outside the internet bad reviews hate.
BTW the reviews are good... 8 average.
People is playing and enjoying the game... anedocal but everybody that said the game is bad of suck in VGC didn't played it (that tell a lot).
What do reviews have to do with legs? COD Ghosts had legs despite reviews
Destiny will have legs too specially as new content gets released and the game keeps getting media (and player) attention.

this is word of mouth: people who played the game talk positively about the game and get others to want and buy it. (increase in sales on the long run)
i didnt see that. sure many people who play the game (a lot) like it an talk positive. but i dont see the effect on the not already bought audience. i see many "not worth it", "could be better", "overhyped" talk

You can't underestimate what doesn't exist, and the returns will do into Activisions bottom-line as they struggle to sell off that initial 500$ million shipment.

It is exactly what is happening.
Again the only people that says the game is not good (because even reviews says it is good) are the ones that didn't played it in niche forums like VGC... even so in VGC have more people enjoying it when hating it
