After Microsoft dropped the price of the Xbox One yesterday without actually announcing it, it seems Sony have done the same and you can pick up the PS4 now for the same price of £329.99. Who says competition isn’t great for the gamers? So now you get to choose either console with a free game from amazon.co.uk for £20 less.

Sony didn't, Amazon did. PS4 is the same price as before throughout europe. In the UK i'm seeing 340 and 350

Okay, so you guys all know, this isn't Sony lowering the price.

The PS4 and Xbone have been competing in price for weeks now, you could get PS4 plus Destiny in both the bundle or not for £320 or lower sometimes. Amazon does it's normal thing of pricematching to make sure it remains competitive. It price matches the big supermarkets which can afford silly discounts. Currently it is pricematch ASDA, which has an offer on, the console plus FIFA is £350 but there is a code FIFA20 which reduces the price by £20, it's a public code for all to use so Amazon are matching.

Check Currys, Argos, GAME, John Lewis, anyone else and you'll see a pattern. Basic Console with no game is still £350.

I think it's more likely to be an Amazon thing ... but I thought I'd bring the heads up in the form of an article.
