Forums - Gaming - I like my Ouya more than any of the next-gen consoles.

I almost bought one because
- emulation
- perfect for smarttv
- xbmc
but
- emulation: sadly tegra3 is not that powerful as hoped
- smarttv still is good but my samsung already has this in some way...
- xbmc had several issues on ouya and i didn't want to follow forums for weeks to get it done.

Still I think that a small Android box connected to TV could be a nice little addon.

My Amazon Kindle Fire TV is better.

Bet with Xander XT:

I can beat more games on his 3DS than he can on my PSVita in a month. Loser has to buy the winner a game on his/her handheld Guess who won? http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=193531

Me!

So you know that little indie game console called the ouya that made a ton of money on kickstarter. Well, yea, I am enjoying it more so far than any next-gen console. I do not own a PS4 or Xbone yet, but so far I have both the Wii U and ouya, and so far ouya has been giving me the most satisfaction, because it is basically a safe-haven from fanboys and 1080p arguments and this and that and everything.

Does anybody else own an ouya here?

What are your favorite titles?  Do you have any recommendations?

My Amazon Fire TV is arriving this Friday. With 49 € it only costs half of the Ouya, is faster and has a much bigger game selection. The same games are usually much cheaper in the Amazon AppStore than in the Ouya Shop and you get one free App every day (I've already collected many great free games over the last year).

Did I destroy your safe-haven or do we need some GameStick-fans and Nvidia-Shield-fans, too? Perhaps some iOS-Fans with AirPlay or some VitaTV-Fans? ;)

You can't enjoy something because of what people say about it?

No offence mate but that's bloody weak!

I still think PlayStation TV has the edge in games... and its feature set comes really close to FireTV including Hulu, Netflix, RedBox and Video Unlimited.  It also has Remote Play and PlayStation Now coming.   The Fire TV includes very easy voice navigation.  Both are $99 in the US and both are a little more to get a controller bundled in.  Both do music,  both have devices associated with them that let you take content with you.  Fire TV gives you a free app a day and access to many different movies and shows through a prime membership.  PlayStation TV gives you free games every month and discounts as part of their PS+ membership which, like Prime is usable across multiple devices.   Both devices are feature rich.  I would suggest both to anyone and both are portable/easy to travel with.  It really depends on your enteirtainment needs.

If you want to be safe from fanboys then stop posting in the internet and do other stuff.

Cleaning your room is a highly productive activity to do and I suggest you start with that one.

"I've Underestimated the Horse Power from Mario Kart 8, I'll Never Doubt the WiiU's Engine Again"

From the OP I can read "I like Ouya more than WiiU", strange reasons but you can have your prefferences. Altough WiiU is a great console.

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."
