She is the final boss in the game. Noctis will have his revenge, as she was the reason that he was kept in dark for so long. Now that would be a serious turn of events. |
I'd buy that for a dollar! Or sixty of them.

Hopefully they break even on the game. Eight years of development means at least $40 Million spent in production if not more.

If its only 40m then they only have to sell 2.22m to turn a profit since SE is the developer and the publisher. Its gotta be more than 40m.

TLG will be renamed FFXVI and release in some years totally revamped for this gen!
Im so hyped :)

TBH 40m was a really conservative estimate. It's probably double that, and if the game gets a big marketing campaign, quadruple.

Well I did some digging, apparently FF13 cost 70m to make (77 with inflation)
http://vgsales.wikia.com/wiki/Most_expensive_video_games
And that had a 6 year development cycle. If this comes out in 2015 (like I think it will) it will have a 9 year development cycle. Now for FF13 just the development was 60m so with the 3 extra years thats 90m + the marketing that's 100m.
Now for a 100m budget they have to sell 5.6m to turn a profit. Ofc we should minus some for the team taking time off to help FF14 development so maybe 5.25m. I'd say that's not gonna be a problem, FF13 sold almost that much on PS3 alone.
Edit: Nvm forgot apparently a small portion of every game sold goes toward marketing costs so change the number to 4.75m

Some people are saying there were changes between the last trailer and other trailers that came before it.
Those people should keep in mind that the part shown in the last trailer is said to take place early in the game (the director said it was part of the demo, and that the demo was taking place in an early part of the game). So it's not really difficult to understand (except if you're a certain someone) that the characters aren't yet going to be at full power and as such, won't be making 10 hits combos in 2 seconds. Think of how the Kingdom Heart games work and how your battle abilities and combo capabilities evolves over time.
I think it would better to wait and see before blowing things out of proportion and assume things got toned down from the original intended vision.

+ if thats the beginning party the game can turn out to be less boybandlike then some people think. That first part might include some temporary chars like in alot of the main FFs and its announced long ago that we will get females in our party too.
I'm very hyped for this game. I was in middle school when SE first announced this game, and now I'm on my last year of college. I hope that all of these years of developing was worth it.
