Europe for XB1 seems odd, if UK got a boost of at least 10k , should be up over last week.

So 472k for PS4 vs. 210k for its rivals combined? Hello marketshare! Will it hit 50% lifetime this year?

If we do it'll probably be on ROW. Just like the XB1 numbers that seemed higher than they should and were adjusted within a few hours, a few days ago.
Right now ROW is almost 100k..not sure if that's a believable number even on Destiny week.

Last week Xbox One sales were boosted by its launch in Tier 2 countries. The Destiny increase has been partially negated by the massive weekly drop in those countries. |
Were there supply issues??
Because when the PS4 and XOne release in other countries the only reason sales fell was due not enought unities to sell...
Well, may be Japan was different for both consoles. But I don´t remember sales falling that steapy in other places.
I think there is no much difference betwing a PS4 owner and a XOne owner specialy in the West. It´s wierd people in UK and USA responding to a game in a way and the rest of Europe in another.
There were differences in marketshare with the PS3 and 360. But this time around it´s totaly different, it´s not only massive, but overall USA and Europe markets are diverging.
Europe is embracing the PS4 much faster than they did with the Wii. Look at Japan where all consoles aren´t doing that great an I can understand that people are migrating to mobile.
But are things that different in USA and Europe? And in Europe, why only one console has 80% of marketshare?
| Mummelmann said: Those PS4 figures are ridiculous, but the One isn't actually that far behind in the US, all things considered. There might still be a battle there if MS plays their cards right. Wii U heading back into the 30's, albeit a month or two later than I thought, outsold by about 50% by the PS3 and only 5k ahead of the 360 in its 9th year on the market. Seeing the potential of the PS4 and One, there can be little doubt any more; the PS4 wins the 8th gen and the One takes second place. |
it isn't heading back.

not with it's 40k US pre orders for the best selling version.

Read this, get it in your head and remember it:
Europe is, was and will most likely always be PS land.
Get it?
WOW, those PS4 numbers. I was expecting between 300-400 k . I'm pretty sure the ps4 now is over 11 million unites since VGchartz always under-track the numbers.

Total 2014 sales (thus far): PS4: USA = 34% of sales (2.2m of 6.4m) This week doesn't seem particularly out of the ordinary ^^ |
Yes... because they are VGChartz numbers.
And they are the only WW number we have.
The other, and official source we have are the shippment numbers... which are completely ignored in this forum.

Thank you,
I am always glad to find reasonable people on this forums :)
I used to have a thread that did a very thorough analysis and provided plenty of arguments, and calculations on why X1 is not that far behind PS4 and can easily catch up in a few months if it does the right thing.
But unfortunately it was closed for no particular reason.
