Total 2014 sales (thus far):

PS4: USA = 34% of sales (2.2m of 6.4m)
X1: USA = 61.5% of sales (1.44m of 2.34m)

This week doesn't seem particularly out of the ordinary ^^

It's absolutely baffling to me how you time and again refuse to accept that Playstation is now and has always been a worldwide brand, while Xbox has always been heavily concentrated in the US+UK. There's literally nothing surprising about only 33% of worldwide PS4 sales being in the US and 60% of X1 sales being in the US.

Those PS4 figures are ridiculous, but the One isn't actually that far behind in the US, all things considered. There might still be a battle there if MS plays their cards right.
Wii U heading back into the 30's, albeit a month or two later than I thought, outsold by about 50% by the PS3 and only 5k ahead of the 360 in its 9th year on the market.
Seeing the potential of the PS4 and One, there can be little doubt any more; the PS4 wins the 8th gen and the One takes second place.

I am actually expecting adjustments up in favor of PS4.  I am suggesting tht the PS4 is undertracked.

that really is the main come away from this, ps4 domination was inevitable, everyone was expecting it.

WiiU being sub 40k even with mk8 and amiboos on the horizon says it all, really. Those long legs nintendo fans like to harp on about seem determined to take a long walk off a short pier.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see about a 10% WW adjustment down for the PS4 at some point, but these are still some seriously impressive numbers.

Say what you want about Destiny, it sure can sell hardware.
