Forums - Nintendo - Super Smash Bros. Is Wrecking Some People's 3DS Handhelds

People just need to learn to treat hardware in the right way. Games are meant to be fun and relaxing, even when challenging and thrilling. You won't turn or run faster or punch harder when you squeeze the inputs as much as you can. Just like broken touch screens, pretty much the user's fault.
I've been on many tournaments and especially Mario Kart Double Dash left me shocked when everybody was killing their stick while charging mini turbos, the room was filled with a loud "clickclickclickclickclickclick". They were all staring at me because my controller didn't make a single noise when I played, yet I won all the major tournaments I attended lol

and my N64 controller, launch model, from March 1997, still works veeery well despite me playing loads of Mario Kart 64 and Mario Party.

I actually expected this to happen...

Have a nice day...

pft. lol!

controllers are better n e wayZ.

Can't you use the D-Pad like any other fighting game in history?

I dunno. I don't think you have to be crazy w/ the stick to play. I mean, if I jerk my car to the left and right and break the suspension, do I deserve a replacement? I can drive just fine if I take my time...

I feel like these people are just too rough and their toys are breaking. Solution is go buy a new one...

I have played the demo 11 hours and I have not had any problems. I think these people are just careless.

If definitely must be Nintendo's fault that people are to rough with their handhelds

This is the worst excuse given for bad or faulty design. Much like the DS4's sticks, they have some issues.

The D-Pad uses Taunts.

So, if this should happen, would it be easily fixed? Like, could you just pop that rubber cap back on there, or will the system need to be sent to Nintendo for repairs...?

The rubber cap comes off easily, and can be slipped back on with ease. The problem is the broken plastic. I imagine you'll have to send the whole thing in, at a minimum.
