Doesn´t this thread in itself show the importance of the Metacritic average?

I can't believe that people think 80 is a bad score :/ Reasons like this making video game reviews so pointless. It's either amazing or shit, no inbetween

80 isnt a bad score,  the game just had to much hype, like titanfall and watchdogs.

Geez, are we ever gone have a big next gen PS4/X1 game that's really a must have experience? First Killzone SF, then Forza 5, then Infamous SS, then Titanfall, then Watch Dogs, and now Destiny all getting very ho hum reception. I hope Sunset Overdrive, Horizons 2, Drive Club, and/or LittleBigPanet 3 finally deliver a great PS4/X1 experience this year. Otherwise Nintendo has been the only one to deliver great next gen games so far, despite the Wii U's sales struggles.

Honestly I think Bungie would have been better off continuing with the Halo franchise, or focusing on more of a traditional FPS experience for this game, especially since it's the more traditional FPS elements Destiny is excelling at.

If it goes down to 70s I won't buy it anymore.

Honestly I agree, low 80's. I just cannot believe bungie effed up the fireteam invites so much on PS4. Making you invite through XMB invites instead of in game is a complete joke. Also no voice chat for your Crucible teams? How they managed to tout the social aspect of the game while inexplicably shitting on social features is beyond me.

Luckily my biggest complaints can be patched, hopefully, and strikes/raids have the opportunity to grow and evolve from 30 minute boss fights and horde mode to actual group play. Also the potential for new planets/moons should make me keep coming back. If i didn't have friends playing to join strike teams easier I cant say I would play as much as I plan to though.

how did no one at bungie play and get sick gear that looked like my 8 year old niece put it together cosmetically and not say, "maybe we should allow transmogging?" No voice chat for crucible teams? No in game invites to fireteams? I am so confused by these, what I assume to be, standard features for a game of this type.

Users score is even too harsh.

Apparently Destiny is a game worthy of the 0/10 score!

There are many more reviews to be posted so that is a real possibility.

Damn an 81? I mean that isn't bad but I was definitely expecting way higher for the most hyped game of the year. Looks like users and reviewers actually agree for once.
