I've actually been waiting for a dsi gb color style upgrade. Been holding off getting the xl for a while because of that.

It's a day one purchase for me when it comes out. I've never played Xenoblade, so this'll be a perfect opportunity. I'm glad I stuck with my original 3DS for the past 3 years!

Tough one. I will probably end up getting one for a better designed system with smaller screen than the regular XL because everything is more pixellated on that than my 42" Panny Plasma. However, I'm really disappointed they've done this, when really, they should have just waited a year or so for a true successor. That does kinda make me wonder if they will do a successor in that time though, so we'll see what happens.

It's very unlikely. I bought an XL for Pokemon X and Y, and it's in good condition. I think very few games will be New 3DS exclusive, and even if some that I want to get are, then I will just play it on the true successor. I have a HUGE 3DS backlog anyway, so I'll survive this generation no matter what.

No waiting for next gen system.
