It does have a lot of potential but i think it'll probably flop. I personally just can't see myself wearing them when i play my games, It'll be like playing games in 3D, it's cool but the novelty rubbed off quick. That being said Puppeteer was amazing in 3D :D

But i don't know, they could turn out to be a massive success and change gaming as we know it.

the drawback with the current morpheus prototype for me is the low resolution screen (higher res ofcourse would require much higher performance hardware), because I would want a VR headset to double as a 3DTV for existing stereoscopic 3D material, but in a "mere" fullhd VR you actually have a very low pixel density in the center of your vision and I already think the 1080p of my S3D monitor (shutterglasses) is too low

neither do I have the PC to go for the Oculus Rift (consumer version will release with minimum 1440p) and there is no reason for me to get one now that I bought a PS4 (got it for 299€, couldn't resist) until Star Citizen is released and the majority of game breaking bugs has been patched (~ 2018 is my estimate)

Very interested, I've only been waiting for 20 years for VR to come to market.
These are early versions ofcourse, like the first b&w tvs becoming available to the masses. People didn't wait for Full color HD tv and Breaking bad type shows to step into tv. It's a new form of entertainment, however you have to put it on first to see what it's like.

They should just skip the VR for gaming, it looks dumb and ho wants to wear a piece of plastic on your face. What they should do is just invent Holodecks and skip over the VR. :P

How does Jealousy come into this? The only way I can see someone being jealous of this is if they wanted to invent it and someone else achieved it first thus making them jealous or if when it does come out, someone has it and can get it but they can't. But we are not to that stage yet so....

My one friend is pretty casual (didn't know WiiU was a separate console until I told him) and he said that whoever had a VR headset he would probably go with them so obviously every casual will go Sony this gen lol

No, they look intrusive and uncomfortable

Most who have tried Morpheus or Oculus DK2 are excited even it what they have right now is still  not really final and worse as what it will be when it will release. Many who never tried it aren't excited yet. Seems like a "you have to try it to understand it thing" for many people.

I'm really excited for it. Can't wait to play especially racing games like GT, some Horror games (and if it will be only Indie Horror games) and other stuff with it. 

And I also absolutely don't care about the "but you will look stupid with it on your head" argument. Not only do I not care about how I look for others in my home since those who will see me here will simply accept it (family or friends) but I would also use it mostly alone. People at Gamescom and so on didn't care about how they look in front of many people and some are scared about how they look at home? They take this "I have to look good all the time" way too serious...
