according to you. Seeing as there are sources that say halo mcc is P2P and seeing as how Azure is nothing but a cloud computing service and says absolutly nothing about hosting MP. Even if they do in some instances manage to find room to host MP for some games, the fact that those same servers are shared by other services and software means they are not dedicated servers. Dedicated servers by definition have a singuler purpose and are dedicated to one single thing. It cannot be a dedicated server if it is shared with other services.

That is excelent for them, but what does that have to do with my statement? Nothing. He clearly tried to downplay the WWHD in wich I showed that probably more work went into it then the MMC. Its harder to upgrade a game that its meant to look cartoony and keep the same look and feel, while for realistic games is almost a click of a button on the pc. |
First of all... I am not trying to downplay wwhd. All I am saying is that comparatively, MCC has more work put into it then both tlou and wwhd. I played wwhd and if you have ever seen my posts about it around the site, all I have done is nothing but praise how beautiful the graphics look but that still doesn't stop the fact that MCC has a lot more effort put into the upgrade then wwhd will and it clearly shows it. And I m not sure what does it being older have to do with anything cause I never said it wasn't a great remaster... I am just saying that MCC has a lot more work put into it. Now sure, you can say it has a cartoony look hence why it doesn't need as much of an upgrade and I dont disagree but that doesn't stop the fact that MCC still has a bigger upgrade out of all the remasters this gen... That doesn't mean wwhd is a bad remaster by any means, it just means that MCC is a better one if you are only going by the level of improvements and nothing else

I feel like Ive heard this discussion on this forum before, like 20 times already. I think it comes down to people feeling Sony is milking its loyal userbase with a year old port opposed to MS miliking its loyal userbase with 4 ports(I know one is a remake or whatever) of varying age. The people have spoken they dont care what a bunch of nerds think on a forum, they are all about rebuying games they played/owned last gen. Sorry people wanting lots of new big budget content, not happening this gen.
Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.
Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

not in the classic meaning, but in practice the same

No it's really not. Not in any meaning and certainly not in practice. That's why there is a distinction between servers...and dedicated servers. It's not that hard of a concept.

Same way developers lied about features that would be in games but later removed, or how they lied about what the resolution and frame rates would be but then changed them. Then there is always the possibility that they could have been talking about leader boards, or sharing/recorded videos that would be hosted on dedicated servers. Or perhaps there is only a single game mode that is on dedicated servers while the others are hosted. Or perhaps they were simply refering to AI/other enhancments to the game that were held in "the cloud". All I know for sure is that there are sources that say the multiplayer is P2P which aligns with the fact that they won CEDEC in that very field. http://www.dualshockers.com/2014/07/12/ps4-leads-the-charge-between-cedec-excellence-awards-2014-nominees-faces-off-against-xbox-one-and-wii-u/ So like I said, no way to know for sure until we actually play the game. |
Yea that's true some devs lie about resolution a lot this gen and people eat it up just to realise they've been lied to. We shouldn't believe everything devs say, some are so angry that they sue devs because of this. I still don't understand though how you can "trust" IGN but not the other sites and the devs themselves... seems to me you chose to believe the worst case scenario. But in any case, don't go on spreading your p2p as if it was fact since you don't know either.

and where is the difference in practice for users?
