It think the NSMB series won't be continued.
There will probably be a new 2D Mario series in the 9th. gen.

I love NSMBU but they need something new and fresh with that franchise.
I think that NSMB is only Nintendo franchise that really need to change.

I really am indiferent. But i would be very happy if Nintendo made a Mario sunshine 2.

They're saying it because he does. All we've seen lately is Mario this, Mario that. Next year we're getting 3 more Mario titles that we know about. (Mario vs Donkey Kong, Mario Party 10, Mario Maker, etc). Make another Ice Climbers or Kid Icarus or something. Space out the Mario's a bit more. I bet Nintendo won't go one year without a Mario game or having him in one. I'm not against Mario or anything. I just want to see Nintendo not rely on him so much and use their other huge franchises for the forefront.

That's not fair. Capcom purposely forgets Mega Man although they are reminded by the public that they want a new Mega Man game. Even Nintendo stepped in to keep Mega Man relevant in today's social gaming media.

Mario can never....ever be forgotten. Not only is he the mascot of Nintendo, he's pretty much the mascot of video games period. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, knows who Mario is. Nintendo and Capcom are different in so many aspects. Nintendo doesn't forget what they have in their huge arsenal. Capcom does though. All I'm saying is to give Mario a break here and there and not depend on him so much. Mamma mia! :p
