My top 10 would be well... excluding animal crossing and starforx since I've never played them would be.
8 Metroid (never played but have seen)
7 Yoshi (same as metroid)
6 Donkey Kong (I love dk 64 but fire emblem sacred stones was more enjoyable for me... I need to play awakening)
5 Fire Emblem
4 Kirby (I have a soft spot for this guy since smash 64 and his games are FUN)
3 Mario (I personally believe mario should have won since again he is fun as hell but I do enjoy zelda just a bit more)
2 Zelda (The puzzle solving is what gave it the edge or mario would have taken it)
1 Pokemon (I'm a pokemon freak. I am addicted to this series. I'm kinda pissed it lost to fire emblem.. lol not even kinda VERY PISSED.... reminds me of myanimelist GOTM in the ecchi harem club goign on right now with misaka mikoto losing to that random chick from full metal panic. wtfh... (btw if you want to vote for misaka mikoto go join myanimelist and go to the ecchi/harem club and vote for her. I seriously want her to win!)

I love Pokémon too man, but trust me Fire Emblem is the better series. It's like a Nintendo Lord of the Rings.

Zelda first was so predictable...
I think Mario should always be splitted in Super Mario and Mario Kart.
