Guess they overshipped.

lol, they make it sound like a bad thing... it pushed sales. I'd say it did alright.

That's not a good number regardless. For a Musou game, that's horrible.

and the Wii U bump was because of obon week, not HW.

So total stock was around 138K? How does that compare with other Musou games?

Ok. Still my point stands, only selling 57% of first week stock is rather low for Japan.

It is, but I am saying that you were citing Famitsu for other games while using MC here. The numbers from Famitsu are/were reported as significantly higher than what MC reported.

For shipments or FW sales comparisons?

This game is set to be a hit, japan likes Dinasty Warriors. I am not worried at all about this title, it will do 1.5 - 2 million ww, no problem whatsoever.

Also, you are on fire today Spurgeoryan, I think this is the fourth thread you make in 1 or 2 hours.

I'm even sure it will reach 600k to be honest.

Unless it has brilliant legs it won't sell much above 200k in Japan. Many games in the last year have opened with bigger numbers and struggled to reach 300k. Although Nintendo's games tend to have good legs, that hasn't held true for Dynasty Warriors or Zelda games.

In the west there is no appetite for a game like this, they are really niche.  A handful on Zelda fans will pick it up as its fan service of sorts and Nintendo will probably do a healthy marketing push, but still I wouldn't expect this game to do tons better then previous dynasty styled games.

I'm guessing it will do between 300k-600k WW

FW sales.

So 2.5 times higher FW than WWHD? Pretty alright.
